About Wrekin College
Established in 1845, Wrekin Prep is an independent, co-educational day school for children aged 4-11 (Reception to Year 6). We are proud of our history and are well known for our exceptional all-round education both in the classroom and beyond. We offer a challenging and stimulating environment where every child is known as an individual and is well supported to fulfil their full potential. High standards of academic achievement are realised within a broad and balanced curriculum which embraces creativity, the arts and sport.
We offer an exceptional education in our state-of-the-art, purpose-built prep school which includes a hall with theatre-style seating, a music and drama studio, an innovation lab, a significant number of sports pitches, a beautiful art room, a science lab, a library and an ICT suite. We are fortunate to be part of Wrekin College with which we share many facilities including a 25m indoor swimming pool, sports halls, two artificial playing surfaces and a Chapel.
The aim of Wrekin Prep is to provide an excellent all-round education and a broad and balanced curriculum for children aged 4-11. We work hard to ensure that every child at Wrekin Prep experiences an outstanding educational journey, where they will develop character, intellect, physical and emotional wellbeing and cultural understanding within a supportive environment.
