About Loughborough High School
Loughborough High School was founded in 1850 as the girls' school of the Loughborough Schools Foundation, a Tudor charitable trust descended from the 1495 Thomas Burton endowment of Loughborough Grammar School. The school operates today on a central Loughborough campus and is part of the Loughborough Schools Foundation, which today operates four schools in Loughborough: Loughborough Grammar School (boys, ages 10-18), Loughborough High School (girls, ages 11-18), Loughborough Amherst School (co-educational Catholic, ages 4-18) and Fairfield Preparatory School (co-educational, ages 3-11). The Head is Fiona Miller. The school is a member of the GSA and is inspected by the ISI. The school operates a substantial bursary programme via the Loughborough Schools Foundation.
