About Kirkham Grammar School
Kirkham Grammar School was founded in 1549 by royal charter of Edward VI as a Tudor grammar school in the Lancashire town of Kirkham on the Fylde Peninsula. The school operates today on a central Kirkham campus and educates around 724 pupils ages 4-18. The Headmaster is Daniel Berry. The school is a member of the HMC and is inspected by the ISI. The school operates a substantial bursary programme intended to preserve the founding 1549 Tudor royal grammar-school principle of educational access for Lancashire families regardless of family means.
