Established in 1869, Elmhurst is proud to be the oldest prep school in the area. Our diverse and inclusive community sits in the heart of South Croydon and recent expansion of our Nursery facilities at Little Elmhurst, adjacent to the main school, means Elmhurst is well placed to support childcare needs from 6 months to 11 years. The off road access to South Croydon station is ideal for our commuting parents but also for our children, who benefit from trips into central London regularly.

Children at Elmhurst gain an advantage through our Elmhurst EDGE personal development programme. EDGE uses pedagogical understanding to optimise learning in all aspects of our broad curriculum whilst also supporting character development, ensuring children are well prepared both academically and pastorally for their onward journey at 11.
