About Brockwood Park School
The intentions of Brockwood Park School were stated in many of Krishnamurti’s public talks and books. The school offers a self-directed and independent learning education. This means the students are responsible for their studies, actions, contributions, and mutually participate in the realisation of the school’s intentions. The school does not engineer specific types of students or human beings, and each student should be responsible in their freedom for their own unique flowering.
Brockwood Park was purchased by the Krishnamurti Foundation in 1969. Chosen for its peaceful yet accessible location in the South Downs, it provides the ideal setting for inquiry into the whole of life. The three elements of Brockwood Park complement each other and form a unique whole: Brockwood Park School for teenage boarding students from all over the world, the Krishnamurti Centre for adults to study the work of Krishnamurti, and the Foundation which makes sure Krishnamurti’s teachings are available to those interested worldwide. Staff and volunteers, together with students, live on-site in an atmosphere of exploration and cooperation.
For adults interested in visiting or getting involved with Brockwood Park, we suggest initially to come for a retreat at The Krishnamurti Centre. You can find out more here .
