About Westholme School
Westholme School was founded in 1923 as a small girls' school in Blackburn, Lancashire. The school operates today as a Diamond-model co-educational school — boys and girls educated together in Junior School and in parallel divisions in the Senior School, before reuniting as a co-educational Sixth Form — with around 731 pupils ages 3-18 on a 60-acre rural campus at Blackburn. The Principal is Lynne Horner. The school is a member of the GSA and the HMC and is inspected by the ISI. The school operates a substantial bursary programme intended to provide educational access for Lancashire families regardless of family means.
