Twyford School was founded in 1809 — making it one of the oldest English prep schools in continuous operation, founded a few years before Cothill and before Eagle House. The school operates today on a 70-acre rural campus at Winchester, Hampshire. The school is co-educational ages 3-13 with a substantial boarding population. The Head is Stephen Bailey.
