About The Roche School
Home About us A truly independent school The Roche School is one of just a handful of family-founded and family-owned schools in London. Our identity as a family-owned primary school and nursery has enabled us to grow strong roots in our local community of Wandsworth, southwest London, and allowed us to flourish as a truly independent school. Our roots Our proprietor, Carmen Roche, established the school in 1983 with the intention of providing “a thorough education in a homely environment” and we have stayed true to that clear and honest ethos for over 40 years. The homely feel of our school is one of the first things visitors remark upon when they come to our school.
Members of the Roche family continue to live locally and their commitment to serving the children of the Wandsworth community is personal and heart-felt. Indeed, Sophie Roche is now the second generation of the Roche family to join our talented team of dedicated teachers and continues to champion the needs of each individual child in our school.
We place the child at the centre of everything we do at The Roche School. We are committed to an ethos of inclusivity, offering a warm welcome to children with a range of talents and abilities. We pride ourselves on being ambitious for every child: stretching and challenging them to be their very best selves.
