Sutton High School GDST

Sutton High School was founded in 1884 as a school of the Girls' Public Day School Trust (now the GDST). The school operates on a single central Sutton site in the London Borough of Sutton, south London. The school educates around 913 pupils ages 3-18 and is girls-only throughout. The Headmistress is Beth Dawson. The school is a member of the GSA and the GDST and is inspected by the ISI.

The school is governed by the Girls' Day School Trust — the Victorian charitable federation founded in 1872 to provide academically rigorous, affordable day-school education for girls at a time when this was almost completely unavailable in England. The GDST today operates 25 schools across the UK, of which Sutton High is one of the historic original member schools.
