About Sedbergh School
Sedbergh School was founded in 1525 by Roger Lupton, Provost of Eton, as a Tudor grammar school in the Yorkshire Dales (formerly the Westmorland-Yorkshire border, now Cumbria/North Yorkshire). The school operates today on a 100-acre rural campus in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and became co-educational in 2001. The school is strong in rugby — the 2003 Rugby World Cup-winning England player Will Greenwood MBE was an Old Sedberghian. The Headmaster is Daniel Harrison.
